Every Stage includes the Procharger unit, the Overkill 8-rib pulley system, a full air-to-air intercooler setup with blow off valve and machined MAF housing, a catch can system, a full intake with K&N filter, AC Delco plugs designed for boost, a boost-reading MAP sensor, and the fittings, harness extension and vacuum lines needed to complete the job.
The costs people forget
HP Tuners credits
Tuning a modern GM requires licensing the vehicle's modules with HP Tuners Universal Credits, purchased separately. Many vehicles need 2 credits for the ECM. 2016 and newer Camaros and Cadillacs require 4 credits for the ECM, and 4 more if you also want the transmission tuned — 8 in total.
TCM unlock on 2017 and newer
On 2017+ model Camaros, the TCM must be unlocked before it can be tuned. HP Tuners charges $399 plus shipping for this. It is a one-time cost, but it catches people out.
Installation
The system is a 100% bolt-on install that a competent home mechanic can complete in a weekend, so labour is optional. Installation at our shop in Palmetto, Florida is available if you would rather not do it yourself.
Fuel system, at higher Stages
Stage 2 on the LFX includes larger capacity injectors and a ZL1 in-tank low pressure fuel pump. Stage 3 adds the larger D-series Procharger head unit and full fuel system upgrades.
Is it worth it against the alternatives?
The comparison most people make is against swapping to a V8 or buying a different car. A Stage 1 kit puts a 3.6 V6 into V8-like power territory for a known, bolt-on cost, keeps the car you already own, and is fully reversible if you sell it.
