Flex Fuel Kit for 2012–2015 Camaro, CTS, ATS, Colorado/Canyon
Unlock E85 performance on your 3.6L LFX V6 without drilling a single hole, cutting a single wire, or swapping a single injector. This complete, plug-and-play flex fuel kit for 2012–2015 Camaro, CTS, ATS, Colorado/Canyon was developed by Tracy Lewis Performance exclusively for these platforms.
What's in the Kit
- Genuine GM fuel content sensor — the same hardware GM uses on factory flex-fuel vehicles, not an aftermarket substitute.
- Professionally assembled custom wiring harness — plug-in connections at the coil and ECM mean no splicing and no guesswork.
- High-quality fuel line and fittings — everything you need to drop the sensor inline at the intake manifold fuel feed.
What It Does for You
Real, Dyno-Measured Power Gains
Tracy Lewis Performance tuning data shows 14–20 wheel horsepower gained on E85 vs. 93 octane on LFX vehicles. A 10–15 WHP improvement is a realistic expectation for most builds, and gains climb even higher if you've been running 87 octane. That increase comes paired with stronger low-end torque — a genuine benefit for towing and hauling, not just track days.
True Fuel Flexibility — Automatically
The GM fuel content sensor reads the actual ethanol percentage in your fuel in real time. Your engine computer uses that reading to dial in the right air/fuel ratio and spark timing on the fly. Whether you pull up to a pump with E85, E70, straight gasoline, or anything in between, the system adapts — no manual adjustments and no switching maps.
No Permanent Modifications
The sensor installs inline at the existing fuel feed connection, and the harness plugs into existing connectors. Nothing is cut and nothing is drilled. If you ever need to return the vehicle to stock, you can.
About 20 Minutes from Box to Done
Unplug the fuel feed line at the intake manifold, connect the sensor assembly inline, plug the harness into the coil connection and add the ECM pin, then flash in your Tracy Lewis flex-fuel enabled tune.
Tuning
Tuning is required to activate and leverage the sensor. Tracy Lewis Performance has custom flex-fuel tune revisions that automatically adjust air/fuel ratio and spark timing based on real-time ethanol content. If you already have a Tracy Lewis Performance tune, the flex-fuel revision is included at no additional charge.
Running a tune from another shop? Your tuner can reference a factory flex-fuel 3.6L Impala calibration as a baseline for sensor enable and tuning.
Compatibility & Hardware Notes
This kit is designed for the 3.6L LFX V6 in the following applications:
- 2012–2015 Chevrolet Camaro
- Cadillac CTS & ATS, LFX-equipped
- Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon, LFX-equipped
Not all LFX-equipped vehicles left the factory with flex-fuel capability enabled — but the LFX engine itself is hardware-capable of supporting flex-fuel operation. No injector upgrades, no fuel pump upgrades, and no other hardware changes are required. This kit and the accompanying tune are all you need.
Tracy Lewis Performance has been retrofitting flex-fuel capability onto non-flex LFX platforms for nearly two years and has been tuning factory flex-fuel 3.6L engines since their introduction in 2012.
Kit price: $279. Flex-fuel tune revision included at no charge for existing Tracy Lewis Performance customers.
