The new design of the Venturi barb generates higher levels of suction for the secondary vacuum source with the dual valve systems.
This provides the correct angle and orientation into the intake air tube or coupler just upstream of the throttle body. Drilling in with a 3/8″ drill bit at an angle is the only action needed as well as sealing it and securing it in place overnight to allow the sealant to cure. RTV works fine for this, just make sure both surfaces are clean and free of any oil or any other substances.
This can also be positioned under the tube or coupler to conceal it if desired, as long as it does not interfere with any belts or pulleys.
